not really. If the msg size limit is 5 MB, it serves no protective purpose to accept a 20 Mb msg fully and THEN reject it.I don't know if this is happening, but this was Terry's suggestion. It's a ridiculous implementation, if you ask me.
For an operation the size of Hotfail, it's essential to defend like that.
