hey, it used to be worse. Imail earlier would send 5 msgs to one ip, and then wait <retry period>!! :)))Thanks for your response.. I was afraid of that
Then Ipswitch changed it to no wait.
It will sometimes, but the problem is not between Imail and the outbound gateway. It's Imail list processing that goes flaky, for some people, some/most times. others are very happy. ie, it's totally unpredictable. internal to Imail so the external gateway doesn't even get a chance to help out., but I was also hoping use a gateway would help with the problems associated with lists.
I know that Ron/HKSI really got his Imail list to be zippy when he added a outbound gateway. So why doesn't it work you? I rilly dunno
the only "trick" I know is Scott's Queue thingy. try it, it's free. it might help.Just trying to put a band-aid on the List problem until I can implement a better list service.
try it. but "in theory" one SMTP process that sends 5 msgs/session in "normal" repetition rate should be able to hose out 30K msgs/hour.What do you think about setting the SMTP processes above 100?
I'm running on a Dual Xeon 2.4 with 1 GB.
That helps a lot, doesn't it? :))
