We have recently just been getting this error on a number of users internet email. They can receive email but not send any out. Nothing has changed on the server end. I have noticed that pretty much all the clients had Outlook 2000. Any ideas on why this would happen out of the blue?
I believe that's an Exchange thing, when it can't find a way to send out Internet mail via SMTP. Most likely, Outlook is misconfigured (such as being set up to use an Exchange server, when it shouldn't).
