Just confirmed this to be an issue (with me), I turned off Imonitor.exe
and I was able to get to the Internet. Still no fix though for Imonitor
usuage.

I believe I have found a symptom of what is going on but unsure where to
proceed (maybe open case with Imail or turn off Imonitor). I did a
netstat -an and noticed that Imonitor has taken over virtual all ports
from 1024 to 5000. This makes since why I can't open a connection to
the Internet, ftp, telnet, etc. since there is no more virtual ports
available to use. Has anyone seen Imonitor.exe take over all these
ports? They are all sitting in close_wait status and not being
released. Thanks for any aid!!

As a test to hopefully narrow the issue, I might try
creating a second local user account (with full admin privileges, of
course).

When the connection bombs, log off as "Administrator"
and log on as your newly-created account. If
connectivity is restored, that would tend to confirm a "logged-on user
account" issue, and time to look closely at what is happening to the
network settings in the Administrator hive.

If the connection remains hosed under the new logon, at
that point my advice to you is to start drinking
heavily. <grin>
