Is it possible to place comments in the kill.lst file?Hello Jason;
Thanks

Yes, you can edit the kill.lst file manually. It is there to add in email server domains or email address's that you do not want
to allow access to the your server. Spam Mail and such mess like that.
You edit it by opening it in ... notepad.
Just copy and paste the address's that you want to block in here.
Such as:
@xo.com
@nastymail.com
@piratemail.com
@myadultmail.com
@wcom.com
@gethosted4free.com
@cyberjunkie.com
@firstrunmarketing.com
@fjdcb.fz.fj.cn
@globix.com
@gblx.net
You can also create a shortcut thru the network, like I have done. I have a kill.lst on every machine that I have in the network, that
receives mail on. If you are on a machine that does not receive mail, then there is no since in having it, unless you just want it there.
As when someone sends me there spam, to report in to SpamCop, I will then take the report and decide on rather or not
to block the domain from the mail server. It is allot easier to do it that way, instead of chasing a ghost. A ghost meaning,
If you get in spam mail from some porno company, from the email address..
little_lucy @hotmail.com . And you block this paticular email address out of your server. And someone that is being hosted from you.
Tries to send there girl friend, niece, aunt mother or so on, an email to: little_lucy @hotmail.com, They that person while not be able to reply
back to them, Because you have blocked them in your kill.lst. Chances are, the spammer has used a random email address to put on there
spam server. And there for, making the receipants, think that pour little_lucy @hotmail.com is the one that has spammed them. There for, every
one automatically adds her to there black list. (or) kill.lst.
So to be on the safe side, Sign up with Spam Cop... http://www.spamcop.com and report all spam headers, and then go thru the reports
and see how needs to be blocked and how does not need to be blocked.. As I have noticed that I get in atleast 5 - 10 a month from myself,
But it is not my IP Address. And Spam Cop ignores is as being a "FAKE" This is where it is hard , unless you really know how to read the
headers. So try not to block the world, as you kill.lst will get right full, if good email address's, or email address's that do not even exist.
Take Care and sorry for the long message. Just trying to get some information out there, that will perhaps be helpful to you and others.
