Your best friend is "no mail relay" -----Original Message----- From: Roger Heath [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, January 21, 2003 12:42 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [IMail Forum] Store and Forward
Just setting up store and forward for the first time and I think I got it right. I was a bit confused by Relay for Hosts or Relay for Users settings relative to this as IMail help warns against this. I edited the HOSTS file for lookups to the customer's mail server and I put in their mail domains into a accept.txt file while leaving 'Relay for Hosts' on. I feel pretty comfortable using this with Declude Hijack running. It should capture any bad relay attempts. Am I missing something or can I use greater security somehow? Looking for a 'reality check' on whether I'm covering all the bases here...
