And if you have to trust a full Class A for relaying, you will "effectively" be an open relay, most likely.If you refer to earlier message in this forum from myself, my problem was that I can't use SMTP AUTH on this server because this server handles messages from clients' mail servers and is a "pure" relaying server so I can only authenticate by IP address.
Is there any other SMTP mail checking that could be applied to this mail relay?
If you can apply checking, then IMGate would be a better choice for a "pure mail relay" (which is exactly what it is by design) than Imail (which is what it isn't primarily)
