ET,INC is a pretty small operation compared to Allot or NetScreen CORPs. And ETINC can and does offer the best/most bang for the bw mgmt buck, without any discussion.We've always been pleased with the quality of the Allot technical support, as well.
Build your own (2 Ghz) box, put in as many WAN and LAN interfaces of different types/speeds, and drop FreeBSD + bw-mgr + ipfilter in it, and then see what a Allot / Netscreen / Cisco box with equivalent interfaces and throughput would cost to buy.
To say nothing of the MRC of hardware contracts for proprietary hardware vs no contract for your own box.
And, I don't think I would want GUI-only jockeys playing with my infrastructure settings like who gets what bandwidth and what the network ACL's are. :))
