The one thing I'm not certain of is whether this patch applies to ALL W2K systems or only W2K with IIS. Any suggestions here?
It originally applied just to W2K with IIS, but it was discovered that there are a lot of programs that could potentially have the same problem. If they call any of a number of different standard Windows functions, and don't check to see if file lengths are more than 64K, they will be susceptible to this problem. So if in doubt, any W2K server that has any open ports should be patched.
