Some people in my office are complaining of mail problems. While I always assume it's the ID10T error, I do have second thoughts on my mail servers.
I run virtual hosts, and I do have a reverse lookup pointing to the root domain. Personally I think I'm getting too many smtp failed messages. The log below is today's log up to about 2:00pm. It seems to me this is a lot of errors. I use to have a gateway, but it seemed that my bellsouth gateway would reject more messages. So for today I left it off. Anyways, are these normal errors? We have about 50 employees that maybe send out 200 messages a day. Not very much. And 33 errors so far doesn't seem right. Or maybe I am reading it wrong. Any help would be great.
