With many of the admins I have dealt with over the years, they have reverse
DNS setup but not completely. They may have domain.com setup and may even
have mail.domain.com. But then they go and name their mail server
name.domain.com and that is what the email says it is coming from. I run
into this with schools all the time.

Remember, there is no test or certification needed to set up a mail
server... and more than once I have been asked "What is RFC?".
