Right click on My Computer. Pick properties. Then on the tab that shows 
your computer name there is an advanced button I think on that 
screen... not to many buttons there so click away... on a screen that 
comes up from one of the buttons you can specify your domain. If this 
has not been set then the machine thinks it has no domain suffix.
