Imail was installed on a freshly installed Windows 2003. The system was clean drives.. Fresh install 2003 and then IMail 8, then HF1 for IMail. My suspicion is perhaps for the DNS cache. I have deactivated it to see if that happens again. But the DNS server log shows a lot of these entries coming from this server. I bet you have w2k dns running on that machine and don't realize it? Imail should never send a DNS query over TCP.
