Let's say you changed your domain to a.net, and your mail server has two NICs
(192.168.1.15, 192.168.1.16). Under the Domains key you should have a couple
sub-keys...
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Ipswitch\IMail\Domains\
192.168.1.15\
Official = "a.net"
192.168.1.16\
Official = "a.net"
newdomain.net\
Address = 192.168.1.15 (if this is your primary IP for the email
domain you'd like to use)
Anyway, you want to make sure that the domain listed below the IP addresses
says "a.net" and not "a.com". You also want to make sure that any / all IP
addresses associated with "a.com" (via Official key) are changed to "a.net".
If you are no longer using "a.com", you'll also want to change any references
in:
IAdmin \ localhost \
Host Name = mail.a.net
Default Host = "a.net" (if this is indeed the default mail domain for
this server, otherwise leave blank).
Close IAdmin, restart SMTP service. You shouldn't see the old host "a.com"
showing up when you run IAdmin.
As for emails bouncing or getting errors, make sure any DNS records to the
host or MX record for the mail domains you're sending to resolve to the
correct mail server.
