I've searched the KB and Archive so I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this but I'm hoping I've just missed something. We have a list set up and when someone on the list has their vacation/away auto-message set, it replies to the entire list which generates tons of reply messages and is a major issue to others on the list. These auto-replies may or may not come from accounts on our Imail server (usually not). As far as I can find, the Imail List does not have any functionality itself to handle this.
The correct thing to do in this situation is remove the E-mail address from the list, and if you feel like it, add them to your "Kill List."
Specifically, it happens when people are running a non-RFC-compliant (broken) mail client. Bounce, vacation, and other automated messages are supposed to use "<>" as the return address -- and IMail will handle that properly, and not allow the vacation message to go to the list.
