In order for any user not in the system domain to log in, they MUST use their full email address as the username. This has been the case for as long as I have used Imail. It is well documented.
For instance, if I have two domains on my Imail server: example1.com and example2.com, and each domain has a user named danhorne, how will Imail know which danhorne is trying to login? Any username without a domain is assumed to belong to the system domain.
