Recently we have been having problems with our Imail 8.01 server. The SMTP service just quitting on us. If I go back to the server and open services, stop and then restart the SMTP service, messages flow fine.
The system is:
Proliant 800 6/400 192K memory 2.5 GB of HD space available 2.5 GB of messages on the server 710 users web messaging on Norton Anti-Virus running
When it fails, the error is: sending of message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to the smtp server failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing smtp connections. Please veryify that your smtp server setting is correct and .......blah...blah..
