Ah -- that is interesting. That should only happen if the IMail server connects to itself. Are you running another mailserver on this server?
No. But I see a lot of those internal IP addresses in the log files.... What else could cause that? Might I have a registry key screwed up somewhere?

I wouldn't worry about that one -- upon closer inspection, it appears not to be related to any E-mail that is being received, so it may just be the IMail Monitor service checking to make sure that the server is still up.

SMTP (4172) Stack connect fail "206.195.193.120"


This one appears to be the IMail "Using-the-A-record-instead-of-MX-record" bug -- 206.195.193.120 isn't in the MX record for principal.com.

So - basically - I have to upgrade. :(

Yes -- assuming that the problem has indeed been fixed in 8.04 (there have been some reports of it happening as late as 8.03 or so).


Note that even with the bug fixed, you'll still see a lot of those MX/stack connect fails, due to domains that aren't set up to accept mail.
