Hi; Our situation is:
- Server 2003 Standard - IMail 8.04 Server only handles mail & Declude - DNS is located on 2 other servers. We pretty much have to reboot the server every other day since it can not find the DNS server. We reboot the server and all goes back to normal for another two days. It receives email without any problem but it can not send mail out.. The first time we noticed this was when mail that was being sent out was being bounced back that host is unknown.. When AOL mail bounces back with host unknown you start to get worried.. I am not sure if our situations are similar.. I called IPSwitch about this and the Tech person said he has never heard of this problem so we are all alone in this universe with this problem.. I am curious since we experience a similar thing but am not sure if our issues are the same. I've checked my logs from 3 months back and found this error only a few times. I now have close to 100 per day Could this be related to the bug mentioned below? I searched the knowledge base and found some an article on why this could be happening. They mention that this could, among other things, be caused by DNS problems. What kind od DNS problems are they referring to? I found the article a little unclear, so I'm asking for some clarification.
