I am setting up a mail server using IMail Express server. It seems to be working just fine, but for one thing. When the server starts up a klaxon style alarm starts sounding. But I can not work out why - or what to do to turn it off (apart from turning sound on computer down). I am only sure that the alarm is linked to IMail Express because it went away when I uninstalled the application, and reappeared when I reinstalled it.
The Imail express server is running on a celeron 450 based machine, running MS Server 2000. Nothing useful is installed on the same server.
Can someone point me in the right direction as to how I might find out what is causing the alarm? No other notification seems to appear, the server seems to be working perfectly. I have looked at the log files in the administrator application and can't see anything to indicate what the problem might be. I've searched the help system at the Ipswitch web site - but 'siren sounding' isn't much help as a search term, but is all I've got to go on...
