Hi Everyone, We're caught in the middle of a spam war. Though we've never been an open relay, and our very small client base does NOT include any spammers, our IP address is now included in blacklists that use sweeps of the entire class C range we're on, and we (and our clients) can no longer send mail to several places because they are using those blacklists.
Relocating our servers to another network is not a possibility at this time. We're working with them to get delisted; it's really in their court but it's going to take some time. We'd rather not have to tell our clients to use their ISP's smtp services, because that involves a lot of reconfiguring for quite a few of them, and we really want to continue to provide turnkey services and not involve third parties when troubleshooting mail problems. Until this problem arose, we were running great and we enjoyed the ability to see "the complete mail picture" when someone had a problem. I am humbly asking for the help of the knowledgeable folks on this list, and apologize in advance if the information requested below is published somewhere already; I've definitely searched every way that I can think of, but have come up empty. Basically, we need to know where we can find a low-cost (or free??) server (a "smarthost"), outside a blacklisted range of IPs, that we can relay our outgoing mail to, until this situation is resolved. If there is an individual or company on this list willing to help us out one-on-one, that would be great. If there is a service on the web that offers this type of temporary solution, please provide a link. Our outgoing mail traffic is quite low (I don't have monthly or daily stats at the moment, but will collect them if necessary), and we just need a box we can set our single, primary iMail server to forward to, until our datacenter's IPs are off the blacklists.
