Thanks Len,

LEN, I've discussed the problem with the president of the company providing IP. He's
fully aware of the situation, and I am confident that they are working on the problem,
and that they have never knowingly allowed spammers. The problem now is, they
actually have removed the spammers (and are even being sued by one as a result), they
are even more able to monitor the network for spamming (they ARE policing, and have
been for some time now), but they are having a great deal of trouble getting off the
blacklists anyway. SPEWS in particular is holding on to the entire Class C for dear
life, no matter what our IP provider tells them.

I don't want to punish the IP provider, because (1) I know for a fact they are
actively working on the problem, have been through a lot of trouble to solve the
problem, and have even taken on additional staff dedicated to the problem, and (2) we
just can't afford the nearly two weeks it takes to set up new servers, in a new
location, move all our client websites, databases, mail configuration, DNS, etc., to
"pack up and leave". We've already done it twice in the past couple years, and we're
finally in a place that we're happy with. I know it takes two weeks because I've done
it enough... too much, frankly. Just not an option. At some point, I have to get
back to my regular job.

Thanks for the suggestions on the FreeBSD servers. We have extremely low volume when
it comes to outgoing mail. If we decide to go this route, I'll be sure to contact you!

Marc
