Pat, Did you get a resolution to this problem. I have been getting the same problem of the SMTP server intermittently falling over and restarting (about four or five times a day). The interesting thing is that this is only happening on one of the servers I have. The only difference between this one and the others are that this is the only one running with the Anti spam filtering turned on.
