Scott - Just an FYI,

I've worked with Ipswitch support and together proved that IMail is NOT
passing all file types to the Delivery Application (SendName) as expected.
The issue has been documented as a bug and has been submitted to the
development team manager.

The good news is that they agree IMail should give the delivery filter
(whether it's mxGuard, Declude, etc...) a chance to process each message.

As you know, we are currently not getting certain types that would be very
useful to work with.

Good to know Ipswitch is aware of this and is probably working on a way to make this information available. I was rather surprised, because most other mailserver programs would put the remote server response in the bounce message.

Not that I'm aware of. We've been thinking of writing something to include the reason for the bounce, as this is something that would be extremely useful.

Note that our free BounceFinder program (at http://www.declude.com/tools )
was designed for the purpose of tracking down the bounce messages in those
huge log files. :)

Very nice, I'll have to check out some more of those tools. Although not exactly what I wanted, it at least cuts the time down from several minutes to less than a minute to have the response code.

Thanks for the quick replies,
