If someone tries that way it should come back IMMEDIATELY with a 550
Unknown User error. No retries at all.

Only way to test is to send a test message to a mail server that you know
will issue TEMPFAIL (4xx) series errors for some reason so your server will
continue to try up to the max time/number.
