Why not use Window's to mount a new drive/partition as that folder?

Subject: Re: [IMail Forum] Junction to offload the spool directory

Well, thanks to all those who pointed out the obvious box in the
GUI. Unfortunately, you may not realize that when you change that
setting,
IMail pops a box stating that a changing the spool directory may "cause
the
system to act erratically". Additionally, you may not realize that when

you have the spool in a different location, IMail continues to maintain
the
IMail\spool directory, and logs LST actions to a sys log stored there
(other things get logged to the correctly located sys log).

This is why I was looking at using Junction to create a mount point to a

separate partition.
