Unfortunately, you may not realize that when you change that setting, IMail pops a box stating that a changing the spool directory may "cause the system to act erratically". Additionally, you may not realize that when you have the spool in a different location, IMail continues to maintain the IMail\spool directory, and logs LST actions to a sys log stored there (other things get logged to the correctly located sys log). This is why I was looking at using Junction to create a mount point to a separate partition.
