I have an issue with
a series of automated emails that I receive from a govt agency for a service we
provide to our customers.
The issue
is:
Symantec AV for Imail detects a virus in a message that contains no
virus. The message simply contains this(with no file attachments, but a file
path in the message):
I
have directed Symantec AV for Imail to redirect all virus to me and this is what
I receive:
Message contained a virus
Virus detected -
The message was Redirected
The message was from user@government.ca
The message was to user@mail.ourserver.com
Message-Id: <200401271806.NAA094.15@government.ca>
Subject: BARR/RJE MEQFTI01 Travail regu
Ignore the SPAM XHeaders...
The problem is that I have had to disable antivirus scanning on my server to allow these emails to pass through, otherwise certain events triggered by these emails would not take place. Is there any way to exclude emails from the Anti Virus scan engine(by from address??)? Or can anyone think of any other solutions for me.
Thanks,
