Based on cost and the location of the company offering it, I would avoid this program. The way that the program scans emails is bizarre, and I can imagine quite a few situations where viruses could get through. Declude Virus is proven, efficient, effective, and affordable. If you are thinking about spending more than $500 for an A/V solution, I think it's the only way to go, IMHO.

It's also important to remember that mailserver virus scanning isn't as simple as it seems. It takes years to fully understand the complexity of E-mail, and all the various ways that viruses can spread through E-mail. Between E-mail being a mission critical application (mail *must* be delivered), all the various encoding methods (MIME base64, MIME quoted-printable, BinHex, uuencode, TNEF, etc.), the slight variations from the RFCs that some viruses use, and all the vulnerabilities that must be detected, there's a reason why mailserver AV software is complex. That helps explain why it costs more than a desktop scanner, and why it is important to trust the company that is selling it. There's a lot that can go wrong (there are lots of horror stories of "virus communication detection failure" messages, mail backing up overnight due to a crashed service, and many more about viruses slipping through).
For example, we have in-house samples of virtually all in-the-wild viruses, we have a virus lab that we can use for testing viruses (for example, we can safely run a virus to see what it actually does), and we have literally hundreds (494 at last count) of various test E-mails (without live viruses in them) that we use to ensure that Declude Virus is catching everything that it should. We've worked with some of the top Internet retailers to help them fix the broken E-mail they were sending.
