Marc A. Funaro, thank you for detailed answer, i find it very usefull and
respect your opinion.

Here i am to give the answer to the questions about "any one tried this
product?", but
probably all messages in this tree are off topic. If so the site
administrator should consider my message to be deleted too.

"there should be a statement to that effect on the product's website,
iMailZip.com. There is no such statement. "
-it's ok now

"preventable) virus slip through, simply because this software is by nature
out-of-process"

- from my opinion "out-of-process" means additional system reliability.
Imagine that you
expect to deliver the message to end user in any way and special time, even
if you anti-virus system failed by poor programming. You proclaim - "To work
or not to work at all". I am not sure this is correct position too.

"way whatsoever. And especially if they (or their mail server admin) has
paid "the big bucks" to own this product (addressed below)."

- Do not forget the avp provider

"But this product makes a decision for it's buyers -- that "this risk SHOULD
be acceptable",

- You make this choise everywhere in your life. For example when you drive
to work.
So if you what to reach your workplace your SHOULD accept that your car may
crashed.

"even the fine-tuned, well functioning ones. But people get sold on
Microsoft, and they've been the winner for so long, so "they win", while we
all lose a little bit each time. I'm sure they're trying to get better, but
they are still not there yet."

- the time resourse is always limited, and most companies can't afford to
wast a lot of
time and money to be a master of a man in such system as novell, linux, unix
and so on.
Their are very stable but very difficult to understand to most people. So
thats why most
choose windows instead unix and accept the risk of servers attack from
hackers and other
underground. So thats why you choose to drive a car with twin-cam engine,
air-conditioner,
power steering and so on.

"The shame is that stable implementations exist and could have been used by
the "

- It looks like "the shame is that people using personal computer. How
stable was a calculator. Just a ten buttons and power jack" (Sorry for
sarcasm.)

In closing, i should say than you just have an only a point of view, but no
all people are
conservative to the marrow of a bones. If you wish to reach the stars you
should
construct a space ship first. And not matter how it was if you reach them
finally.
