I know this has been hashed over before, and I know Ipswitch has never released the structure of this file, but we are suffering under some major distributed dictionary attacks. What I want to do is to write a script using a win32 port of the "tail" command to scan the logs to count failures. Obviously this isn't going to do me much good if I can't do anything with the results. I have toyed with the idea of pushing this on to our Cisco router's access list, but this seems like significantly more work. If there is some way to write directly to IMail's access list file this might be more useful.
