1. Didn't mean to overright a thread. Wasn't even sure if the post would go through.
2. Yes stoped all services completely 3. Closed the IMail Admin Screen and the IMail Program. 4. Yes had a back up and am back on line with the 8.05 version and everyting is now working again. Just cannot seem to do the upgrade to 8.1 keep getting the Catastrophic failure notice. I go through the entire section of it asking me for my settings i give the answers I would like to use. I plan on overwriting all the web templates then changing afterwards. It copies all my webtemplate files to a new directory called Web.001 then creates a new directory Called Web. But nothing gets put into it. At first I wanted all the services started upon start up but after the first failure I decided to just take the default and try setting the others later on. This to didn't work i still get the error. It doesn't seem to change anyting about my set up except for renaming the web directory which I have renamed back to the orginal till I get this figured out. so far things are working as normal. Just can't seem to upgrade. Any other ideas. I will try in the morning. Was hoping to get this done tonight but no luck. ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Tolmachoff (Lists)" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, April 10, 2004 1:05 AM Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] Catastrophic failure 1. Start a new thread. Do not use an existing thread. 2. Did you stop all services first? 3. Did you close the Imail Admin screen? 4. Did you have a backup of the previous Imail configuration?
