1. I would like to know the hardware configuration of any imail servers out there that
are hosting
more than 2500 virtual domains.

We ran 2100 virtuals (20K in, 9K out, 30K dropped) without any problems. 2700+
virtuals (23K in, 10K
out, 35K dropped) has been a constant cpu battle. We have tried multiple platforms
(intel and amd,
single and dual) and raid configurations (1, 0+1, 0+1 + separate spool drive) with
little or no
change in performance.

The volumn of email did not go up that much, so it seems to be directly related to the
number of
domains / size of the registry. Does anyone know if imail loads the registry into ram
at startup, or
if it scans the registry for each and every email?

2. Also, is anyone running (or testing) imail on a dual or quad opteron platform?
