Thanks alot - I hadn't thought of IMAP, but it worked out great :-) I've got the old mailbox now, and as soon as I get some time on my hands, I'll analyze it further. There is no way imail will let me delete anything from it though.. can anyone recommend a third party tool for manipulating (deleting) single messages from the .mbx withouth corrupting anything further?

The more you work with it the bigger it reports. You can try creating a new mailbox and dragging the messages into it using IMAP - This has worked for me sometimes, but other times it was one of the messages causing it and the corruption started anew... In this case you either need to isolate the message and get rid of it, or just delete the mailbox and create a new one... If you do isolate the message - try sending it to IPSWITCH -- Maybee they can prevent it if they know what causes it. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Eric Carr Sent: Thursday, April 15, 2004 9:11 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: SV: [IMail Forum] Gigantic mailbox size There are 4 mailboxes - "main", "sent", and two others. The only one affected by the size/deletion problem is "main". "Main" does not contain any subfolders.. -----Opprinnelig melding----- Fra: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] vegne av Hermann Strassner Sendt: 15. april 2004 15:09 Til: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Emne: RE: [IMail Forum] Gigantic mailbox size Maybe there are Subfolders in this account?
