Hi Grant,

We have automated this internally and will be releasing a web interface
which does all of this later this month. It also has multiple security
levels for allowing customers to manage their own DNS as well (to address
the different needs for shared, reseller, and collocation customers).

If you're interested, contact me off list and I'll send more info.

Darin.

Subject: [IMail Forum] OT: Windows DNS Servers

Hello All,

We are currently setting up our own DNS server using Windows DNS on a 2003
server. I have search the help files and everything and can not find to set
what the defaults are when a new zone is created.

For example, we run most of our websites on one IP, therefore everything is
identical for the most part other than the CNAME and MX record. I would
like to create the new zone and have it automatically create everything and
then I just have to change those 2 areas rather than adding everything
again.

Anyone have any hints or help on this?

Thanks!

Sincerely,
Grant Griffith
