> Are you doing anything now?

Yes, but when things were implemented, the scope of what they perform
wasn't really considered.

Recently I had Imail TS get into my system and view some rules. While
they were there, they noticed some oddities in the Anti-Spam folder, and
then explained them to me at length.

Specifically, we're doing statistical spam checking, as well as using
the Hosts Blacklists, which merely appends the spam info into the
header. In that list, we're performing the reverse DNS lookup, AND
verifying the HELO/ELHO domain. These are the options I'm considering
removing, because it was further discovered that we weren't applying any
rules for further filtering.

In other words, a message gets stamped and verified, then passed on to
the user ANYWAY.

While I have no reason to remove the Host Blacklisting (I've already
proven that false positives are incredibly high from those five
services), I just don't understand what value there is in the
verification process. All it's doing is slowing down the server, and
we're still not reaping the benefit.

Now that I've finished digressing, I can say that you have answered my
question, by suggesting methods to look for false positives in people
who receive spam in quantity. The rest of my diatribe is perhaps
useless, but it helps paint a picture of where we stand now.

Thanks for your reply!
Eric
