I'd say that any app that implements SPF checking becomes an anti-spam app at that point, no? > http://spf.pobox.com/ has established the feasibility and others > have provide plugs/patches for the major leading email servers. Think of Declude as the plug/patch for IMail. You have to remember that IMail is a commercial product, and it's unlikely (though not impossible) that they would use the existing SPF C libraries, Perl modules, etc. Likewise, Declude doesn't bundle open-source stuff, as they've written their own implementation. Anyway, my feeling is that Ipswitch should work first on actually allowing envelope rejection for _any_ envelope-only tests. At that point, it would be more worthwhile to make SPF one of the available tests. We're currently dumping mail on SPF FAIL (and taking no action on non-FAIL, for reasons that have been pretty well established), one of only a couple of tests that we trust that much. Without envelope rejection, though, that summary deletion isn't so satisfying. --Sandy ------------------------------------ Sanford Whiteman, Chief Technologist Broadleaf Systems, a division of Cypress Integrated Systems, Inc. e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] SpamAssassin plugs into Declude! http://www.mailmage.com/download/software/freeutils/SPAMC32/Release/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
