Been running this Imail server V8.05 for a couple of months now. Everything seems to work well except I am finding a few domains which I cannot sent mail to thru my settup. I think I have everything set right, down to the RevDNS PTR setting.
Seems to be 2nd tier domains such as JUNO or some foreign ones.
Pretty much reviewed all my settings... what am I overlooking ?
You're overlooking this:
20040608 005910 127.0.0.1 SMTP (06040082) Connect juno.com [64.136.28.83:25] (1)
Here, IMail connects to the Juno mailserver (and a quick check of their DNS shows this is the correct IP), which is good. But:
20040608 005910 127.0.0.1 SMTP (06040082) 550 Access denied...2631249dfd553d35a5a08005a0adade0e5402ded95a9353075f015c0bdbd04e961691504042d6104e11da94d30251111f540b45430358d...
Rather than respond with a 220 SMTP greeting, they respond with a 550 (error), and say "Access denied". You'll need to contact Earthlink to find out why they are blocking you.
