Your spec is missing a few components, but you'll probably figure them
out over time. Whether you'll figure them out in a number of hours
that makes your $300 cost avoidance reasonable is another story.

Hmm. . . I'll be eagerly awaiting your spam. :)

Just like sending alerts for no reverse DNS fixed that problem--and
every other "minor" configuration issue that STILL has to be used in a
weighted system by anyone who can't perform envelope rejection and
doesn't want to be running a mail blackhole--?

I think you should do some research into past attempts at using alerts
to enforce compliance before you open this can of worms. IME and O,
there's only one combo that can bring undermaintained servers into
compliance: (a) industry acceptance to the point of MTA default
functionality; (b) matter-of-fact documentation in general HOWTOs for
part-time (or one-time) admins, not just lists for techies; and (c)
envelope rejection by 800-pounders.

Though I wouldn't go where you're going with this, I think you'd be
better off trying some public lobbying for such support on the Declude
JM list, but I haven't seen any posts from you there. Why not give
that a try and get some feedback from experts who are heavily in the
field?
