From a $300~ service agreement, to a $5000 one? No thanks. I guess they figure they can alienate 90% of their customers and still come out ahead.

I was in the planning stages of purchasing iMail. In fact I had my purchase order all ready to go! The cost difference between the old and new versions is just too great. I am looking elsewhere. I was reading nice things about Kerio Mail server http://www.kerio.com/kms_home.html No idea if it is any good, but I'm looking into it. Too bad, iMail seemed like a nice departure from the usual software nonsense.

I just got off the phone with Ipswitch, and it is absolutely true -- IMail will no longer be offered as a stand-alone product. This is the ultimate in
arrogance, and shows a complete disregard for their existing customer base.
I will be looking to replace IMail, and would be very interested to receive any recommendations.
