export the database to a Microsoft access DB on windows, then save the tables in access as CSV files, manually create the tables in mySQL (I know, it's a pain!) then import.. thats the only way I found to do it.
The various targets of IMail exporting seems like a good opportunity to learn a little Unix "text processing" tools for windows.
eg, awk can read file of imail fields, re-order the fields, add/remove fields and characters, insert "," or "\t" or ";" delimiters or whatever the importing requires, in a single step.
