Jill,

I'm going to take a bit of a counterpoint here to most of the other
posters in this thread.

Question 1: I simply would not consider the product at this price
point. ICS is not my market and likely never will be; with A/V or
without. The projects I have required groupware on are so involved we
have to code custom solutions. Even so I have always considered the
Ipswitch A/V both grossly overpriced and inferior to its 3rd-party
competition.

Question 2: At this stage in the game, I wouldn't consider a price
increase on Imail service agreements. As an aside my own SA expired
not too long ago and I opted not to renew it; reasoning that I could
buy another one when I saw a compelling feature set in the future
(which is precisely what I did when I upgraded from v6 to v8, after
sitting out what I thought was a buggy v7 release). If you offered
*useful* new features in new releases (calendaring was not one of
them), rather than bugfixes, this attitude would not have governed my
buying habits.

Back to the point: I have now spent considerable effort researching
your competitors as I am in immediate need of a new mail server.
Imail Unlimited (or Professional or whatever) had a lock on that job.
Now that I've had a chance to look around, I find I kind of like what
I see enough to give a competitor a try; especially given their price
points.

As such you have lost my undivided attention, so to speak. Now my
buying decision is being made with a lot more information on your
competition at my disposal, and before I would spring for a new
SA+license, or even an SA for myself, I would first pay much less to
try out a competitor (which is what I'm going to do in the next few
days).

Lastly, I am sorry to say you have burned your bridges with me. I no
longer trust Ipswitch further than I could throw the proverbial grand
piano. Your company's tactics can be described under the most
charitable characterization as foolish and unethical. At worst:
dishonest and unlawful. Either way we can no longer do business
together as a result.
