IMGate can be used with IMail now and technically it can be used with any back end mailbox server.

I personally dont' use it since I am very familiar with unix and I config my own postfix servers. However, it is my understanding that Len sends you all the config files so it is very straight forward and easy.

The big bonus is if you learn a bit about *nix you can eventually install your own mailbox server i.e. courier and then you pay NOTHING in software costs and you move up to the best of the best when it comes to MTAs.

Mr. X,
Right now I feel myself getting worked up again about SA costs and this
whole feeling of being coerced into paying more for what is actually less
than what others offer for less money.

A free Postfix server solution has come to mind, but I am not comfortable
with NIX and it's kind of scary. The thought of paying anything more to fix
what should already be working is frustrating as well. That is why the talk
about SpamAssassin and ASSP, it's just a free band-aid for Imail which will
allow us to wait and see where Ipswitch goes with this. Perhaps they will
show us their stuff and make us all feel like paying more :)

Everyone is looking at all these front end apps...why not IMGate? it will hook right into SA.

It's good to see all of the positive feedback in Pearl, SA and ASSP.

Perhaps

it would be worth the learning curve and give some of us a chance to hang
around longer and see if the actions of Ipswitch will match their words.
Declude is without a doubt the easy way to go and looks efficient,

although

it lacks protection from dictionary attacks. However I am not so sure I

want

to spend money on something that may very well be discontinued, if not
sooner certainly later.

Perl for Windows is actually very easy to install. I forget where I

Just as easy as any other windows app.
