Our poor server is suffering with tons of dictionary attacks. This attacks started in the last few days.

Imail SMTPD doesn't handle high volumes of unknown recipients well, as many IMGate users can attest, and so becomes DoS'ed.

And any Imail add-on product, sitting behind IMail SMTPD service, is unable to help.

The best, perhaps only solution is to use a separate machine as front-end MX to reject unknown recipients, at least. And something like IMGate can do that, and much more, restoring your mailserver's level of service, and extending its useful life
