true. but that's the greatest advantage, off-loading the defenses from IMail to another box.
So, i started to add IP-Adresses to the blacklist of our SonicWall.
I don't think it is a good idea to add/delete/maintain perhaps many 1000s of anti-SMTP rules to an with an enterprise firewall that has much bigger and broader responsibilities than just SMTP. The simpler/fewer that box's rules are, the better.
