Hi Sandy, Hmmm...do these "mail-enabled contacts" still have Exchange accounts for Calendaring, Tasks, Contacts, Email, etc.? Or do they lose all of the rest of the Exchange groupware functionality, becoming POP-only accounts?
I was thinking the latter, which might be a reason to have everyone POP the Exchange server....and have IMail serve only as a gateway for incoming mail. Yes. You create the users as "mail-enabled contacts," which means they will still be listed in the global address list in Outlook and Outlook Web Access, but have non-local mailboxes. > Or if Exchange Server allows some users to connect via POP3 and get > their mail, I could route all of their mail to Exchange and let > those few users access it via POP3 from Exchange? Yes, Exchange absolutely has a fine POP3 connector. --Sandy ------------------------------------ Sanford Whiteman, Chief Technologist Broadleaf Systems, a division of Cypress Integrated Systems, Inc. e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] SpamAssassin plugs into Declude! http://www.mailmage.com/products/software/freeutils/SPAMC32/download/release/ Defuse Dictionary Attacks: Turn Exchange or IMail mailboxes into IMail Aliases! http://www.mailmage.com/products/software/freeutils/exchange2aliases/download/release/ http://www.mailmage.com/products/software/freeutils/ldap2aliases/download/release/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
