It's like receiving junk mail and calling the 800# that is listed. Doing
so once to complain can be justified. Calling them 100 times a day cannot
be justified (other than you trying to cost them money).

FYI for everyone:
I once kept getting spammed in the early beginning days of spam from a
company with an 800 line. I was in the process of setting up my PC Fax to
call the 800 number with a FAX saying "Do not spam me anymore!" and making
it work until the FAX was accepted by a FAC machine because all I could get
was their voice mail answering the line and I got tired of reaching it and
leaving voice messages not to spam me anymore which didn't stop them.

A friend called me up to see what I was doing and if I wanted to game with
him. When I explained what I was just about to start doing he informed me
that it's a felony offense here in the US to knowingly spam any telephone
number with a FAX. I protested saying he spammed me first via email! My in
the know friend said that it wouldn't make any difference to the Feds, it's
still a felony no matter what the logic is for doing it.

Hope this keeps anyone from making bad choices. Most laws here are geared to
where committing a crime in retaliation to a crime is not the answer. I've
heard some say that DDoS is not a crime, but I actually think it is here in
the US. Hence knowingly participating would fall under that category. Legal
or not, it's not ethical IMHO because it pollutes the Internet in general
any time there is a massive amount of packets being unleashed on the web. I
know the bad guys are doing it to us, but us doing it back still don't make
it the right thing to do. But neither does turning the other cheek. Go after
the ISP companies and Hosting companies in another way that will really hurt
them. Shut them down legally by helping to promote legislation or just
banning ISP companies that allow this stuff. If enough people ban them,
their clients will need to find a legit company in order to send even legit
email and host their sites. You don't need a sledge hammer to drive a tack!
