Beyond the command syntax issues mentioned, it could be an issue with the
service acct IMail is running under doesn't have enough perms to perform the
task(?)  Make sure you're security audit options are enabled (not be
default) - you should see some entries in the security or application event
log...

Personally, don't know if that would be a wise idea or not - better hope you
don't start getting spam to that alias, or you'll be running around trying
to figure out why your mail server keeps rebooting.  :-)

We use APC masterswitches - I can get into that via Telnet from my
Blackberry to reboot a server if needed - but I usually try to use Remote
Desktop to log into the machine to do a proper/scheduled shutdown.  If I
have to power-cycle it via the Masterswitch, something is hosed (program ran
away or something) and the machine isn't responding (meaning a program like
IMail couldn't accomplish a proper shutdown anyways).  That rarely happens,
but it invaluable when it does.
