Summary post...

John, no they don't, these are smaller shops.

Sandy, please explain how this would work.  Would I somehow bind the MS SMTP virtual server to a specific NIC?  I take it that you are under the impression that this is a real limitation without a metabase workaround?

Chris, bulk-mail, regardless of my own view of legitimacy, is problematic and you don't want to have your server's base IP blacklisted and all clients bound to the same outgoing IP if you can help it.  Keep in mind that these customers were using my mail server for sending this stuff, so moving them off of that server without losing their business is my goal, though I did try finding them a listserv, but that wasn't appropriate for their needs.  Some others were fine with a listserv, and they have been taken care of.  I'll deal with it the way that it is if I must, and address the need again if it grows, possibly setting up a cheap mail server on that box, or maybe a new super cheap box running linux.  I need to get my feet wet with that somehow.

Why not just have one relay server for all your clients with your tld and reverse dns?  Seams like a lot of trouble for allowing bulk email.
