You can adjust the receive timeout that IMail uses by adding the DWORD value RECVTimeout in the HKLM\System\CCS\services\smtpd32\parameters key. the default value is 120 which =12.0 sec. I usually adjust this up to 300 which is 30.0 sec...A good way to SWAG a setting is to telnet to the MX and see how long it takes from the time it connects until you get the 220 banner.
