Thank you Jason.

I have maintained that support from Ipswitch has been very good in the years that I have used their product. The only problem that has never seemed to be solved was the occasional shut down of SMTP. I have worked around that occasional problem by simply setting SMTP to restart after it shuts down.

Mark, I'm not following your comment: "I wonder why there is nothing in ipswitch support on this solution to the problem. Then again..."

Wasn't it Ipswitch Support that gave you the fix?

Subject: [IMail Forum] FYI iwebmsg.exe CPU Hog

This is an issue that I queried about week before last with little response
from this list. I searched the archives and didn't find anything that
related to this problem with v8.15. I also searched Ipswitch and found
nothing of value.

I did call support and was informed that this is a problem that has been
seen before and that it is caused by a corrupt folder in a mailbox.

I searched the logs to find who had last logged in before the problem
started and found the same person logging in just before the problem
started.

I moved their main folder and lo-and-behold the problem went away.

I wonder why there is nothing in ipswitch support on this solution to the
problem. Then again...

Just thought I'd pass it along...

Mark
